“Wetback”, “Nigger”. Which one is more painful? I was basically just told to not worry about racial slurs thrown at Hispanics because as a Black young woman I should be worried about Black people & not Hispanics… If I fight for justice & equality, why should I only fight for Black people if I have the chance to fight for all minorities? Sure, there are people in other minorities that wouldn’t give a damn about me just because I’m Black & they think we have nothing in common but there are also those few in other minorities who like me want equality and justice for ALL. If I can get a few to come together, imagine what I could do in the world. But some people just don’t get that because they can only think of the past & how Blacks have been hurt but in the end, we’ll all suffer a lot more if we don’t learn to come together to fight injustice & inequality.
